China began to rethink its policies in light of its worsening environmental crises. There is a cry for cities to be made green and for urban development to be environmentally sensitive. Will green projects move beyond test phases and succeed in meeting their goals of small-footprint urban design? Program researchers provide tools to help planners and policymakers understand the determinants of implementing green planning.
