Abstract：
Household energy consumption for space heating and cooling is critical for daily living needs and physical health. As one of the most climate-responsive sectors, many pioneering studies have discussed the potential mechanisms by which the energy sector responds to temperature change. However, fewer studies have discussed in detail the unequal burden of income disparities and social vulnerability, This research aims to analyze the heterogeneous temperature-energy relationship using econometric models with a particular focus on the disproportionate impacts on vulnerable groups. This seminar will describe how we analyze climate and energy issues through an interdisciplinary research framework, thus providing new insights for climate and energy policymakers, Considering that climate change is having differential impacts on the ability of households to meet their basic energy needs, our findings will inform adaptation strategies and compensation mechanisms for affected groups, thus contributing to a more equitable and inclusive future.
